Indie It press is excited to announce the winners of the Napkin Microfiction Writing Contest. This is our very first contest for our Indie Artist Community. I must say it brought joy to all of us here at Indie It Press! A special shout out and thank you to our Judges, Chantal Roché, and Willow Ford. We couldn’t have asked for a more solid team of Judges. With 32 total submissions, they told us it was difficult to bring the list down to 20 finalists because they were all entertaining, and solid work. To bring it down to 10 was even more difficult.
Congratulations to all submitters to this contest! Way to go working toward defeating imposter syndrome!
Over the next few weeks, we will be publishing the winning Top Ten Microfiction pieces so keep an eye out for each one as they are fantastic!

“It thrilled me that Indie It Press selected my Napkin Microfiction story as a Top 10 Submission. Like all amateur authors, my greatest fear isn’t that my works are not good. My greatest fear is that my works might very well be good, but that no one will ever read them. Thank you Indie It Press!”
***Rick Hansard generously gifted his $100 prize back to Indie It Press for the next writing contest. Thank you, Rick!

Placing top ten has only added more fire to the flame to birth a career of my own in the writing world (even if I don’t get on the NYT Best Sellers list).
10th Place: Shannon Chapman, A Twinkle in the Dark – $20 Prize
Shannan Chapman lives and writes in Tucson, Arizona. When there isn’t a pandemic, she can be found traveling the world, meeting interesting people and writing about them.
