Monumental The Movie – Official Trailer

Monumental The Movie released their official trailer today. The filmmakers plan on completion of the film in 2014.  This is an indie movie I’m keeping a close eye on due to the talents of their director Scott Hansen and lead actor Gary Cairns, who is also a supporter of Indie It Press. I am very anxious to see this road trip movie on the big screen; furthermore, I am intrigued by the story line since I lost my own mother this past year. ~ “A journey to honor one’s mother.”

The story is about “two young men who journey across the USA to honor one’s mother by spreading her ashes at monuments she always dreamt of visiting.  Along the way they encounter interesting characters and dangerous situations that force them to question their own character and their life-long friendship. Marital strife, jail time, car chases, old secrets and a demolition derby all threaten to derail their trip and their lives.”  Plot summary courtesy of IMDb

“Everybody’s blessed.  It’s what you do with your blessing that counts.”
