Listen spring, I want to wear my sandals again….

Yes, the sun is out and the birds are awake and making themselves heard this morning, but last night we had a winter storm making it feel like early February not late April, snow blowing in every direction.  I could see my breath this morning and my circa 1984 Schwinn is locked up at the fence with four inches of snow on it waiting for the opportunity to push its sleek frame through the warm wind.  I yet again reiterate: For me it has been the longest winter of the millennium.  I feel like Goldie Hawn in Private Benjamin, constantly wearing a hard hat and 75 pound pack in what feels like to tight of clothes and heavy boots in the pouring down rain.  My mascara is smeared, “I want to wear my sandals again; I want to go to lunch!” 34371_1395750207043_4101788_n
