Jimmy Dempster in Case 0912

vlcsnap-2014-01-27-01h57m46s186 Jimmy Dempster in Case 0912, an indie short film noir.  Previously cast as The Punisher in a concept show, (based on fan fiction from the Marvel comic book) Jimmy Dempster takes on a new role as Detective Watson in Case 0912.

Case 0912 is full of intrigue and suspense, with the convention a noir can take on in being a little melodramatic.  Yet, this movie is a short which is very unconventional.  Even as a short it keeps you guessing with strange surprises.  The cinematography and score in this film lends to an eerie mood that at times will beguile you.

As an actor, Jimmy Dempster’s range moves from an anti-hero to a detective with ease.  Based out of Florida, Dempster grew up in Detroit and has lived in many places, except Los Angeles.    On January 28th, Dempster was in season one, episode 12 of The Originals: Dance Back from the Grave.  The Originals is a tiny bit of a spin off of the popular series, Vampire Diaries.  He will soon be seen in The Beautiful Lost and The Last One.

In regards to his acting role in Case 0912, Dempster states, “I really enjoyed the detective role. I wish it was a full feature, maybe some day. It was a blast to play off of my co-star Kally Khourshid, who is simply amazing on and of camera.”  This eerie thriller, with multiple layers, may one day be a full feature film.  For now, Director Neil Watson is in the process shopping it to film festivals.  After it’s viewed; hopefully, this unconventional short film noir will take off, and there will be more surprises to come.  Follow Jimmy Dempster’s facebook fan page to get current information on Case 0912 and his career.
