The Como Brothers Band Taking on the Indie Music World

During the 2014 Artists In Music Awards, The Como Brother Band gained nominations in five different categories. On February 7th, The band won in two of the five: Composer/Songwriter of the Year and Album of the Year for Baby Steps.

On February 5th, the Como Brothers found out from Pulse Records that starting this week their video Straight Face will be airing in 8,500 retail outlets for about 4-6 weeks. Their video will air at Taco Bell , Denny’s, McDonald’s and many other retail outlets.  To say the least, this indie band is taking indie listeners and many mainstream pop fans by storm.

With a clean look and sound like Michael Buble, the Como Brothers still have their own unique tone and songwriting quality to them that is garnering some much deserved attention.  Mix in some of The Black Keys rhythm and you come up with a rare compilation of music in Baby Steps that is The Como Brothers Band.

Matt and Andrew Como (22-24 years old) are songwriters and musicians that value organic music, musicianship, and songs with original integrity. All of their songs are credited as written by Matt and Andrew Como. Music is not a hobby of the brothers but a way of life and a career. Early in life their Dad and his brothers played music at family parties and Matt and Andrew were inspired along with their parents encouragement, to play music.

They extensively played live throughout high school and college and are now an experienced live act having played in bars, festivals and local shows around New York over the past years. In 2010 they officially began the rock band The Como Brothers Band and have been pushing forward for their dreams of a long term career in music.

They are succeeding!

The Como Brothers Band are influenced by Pop sensibilities, Rock and Blues. Sometimes the band is compared to John Mayer, Early Maroon 5, Andy Grammer, Jason Mraz, Michael Buble, and The Black Keys.

Their past licensing placements: E! Entertainment Keeping Up With The Kardashians, MTV Real World, Oxygen Network Best Ink, and  indie film Wingman Incorporated.

Their grandfather was a WWII veteran and they are very passionate about supporting veterans and helping them adjust after they get back to civilian life from their service.
